The most obvious use of a mug is to drink tea, coffee, juice or any other favorite beverage. Mugs are often purchased from the market for self or as gift item on various occasions. Over the years, you may have amassed all sort of mugs in the crockery cabinet. From plain to the patterned, classic to the contemporary and generic to the personalized. The cabinet may have become chaotically cluttered with the mugs. To spruce up the space, use the unwanted old mugs in alternate ways. Don’t just throw them away. Mugs are versatile enough to have many fabulous uses and purposes:
- Use it as vase for the artificial or real flowers.
- Grow herbs, succulents and ornamental plants.
- Use it as a soup bowl, dip or a dessert dish.
- Bake cakes and cook rice in the microwave safe mug.
- Make them into decorative candle holders.
- Store pens, pencils and other stationery items in it.

- Keep sewing or first aid kit in it.
- As scoop for the bulk quantities.
- Make home garden bird seed feeder.
- Break them to build mosaic or wall décor piece.
- Keep the spare change or coins in it.
- Use personalized mugs as motivators or photo frames.
